After breakfast, another full day of safari to enjoy Serengeti National Park.
The oldest and most popular of Tanzania's national parks, Serengeti National Park has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1978. Even when the wildebeest migration is over, it remains one of the finest places for a safari. The park is home to the world's highest density of plains game. Herds of buffalo, elephants, giraffes, elands, topi, hartebeest, impalas and gazelles can be seen, not forgetting the big cats (lions, leopards, cheetahs…) and hyenas.
Picnic lunch during the safari.
This abundance of animals has generated a local economy based on eco-tourism, and Tanzania has established protection policies and specific taxation for tourism activities.
At the end of the day, depart for your accommodation.
Dinner and overnight stay at Ndutu Lodge from June to November (or equivalent)
- Stages: Serengeti - Ndutu

Breakfast at the lodge. Departure for the Ngorongoro Crater.
This day will be devoted to discovering this famous crater, considered the 8th Wonder of the World ( > watch the video of this place).
The crater is a vast caldera 20 km in internal diameter. It is home to an incredibly rich wildlife population at its centre, perfectly protected by a 600-metre-high rampart.
A special moment: it is one of the only places in Tanzania where you can see the “Big Five”: elephant, lion, rhinoceros, leopard and buffalo.
Picnic lunch by the Ngoitokitok pond.
More than 500 bird species, resident and migratory, can be observed in the crater. Lake Magadi, with its brackish waters, is often frequented by pink flamingos. Hippopotamuses lounge in the freshwater ponds while buffaloes take mud baths.
Dinner and overnight stay at the Ngorongoro Forest Tented Lodge (or equivalent)
After breakfast, depart for the Tarangire region.
Day of safari in Tarangire National Park Tarangire considered one of the country's finest wildlife refuges.
Covering an area of 2850 km2, it is renowned for its exceptional concentrations of animals between August and January. The park is home to species that are more difficult to spot and often impossible to find in other parks in Northern Tanzania, such as: the Gerenuk, the Lesser Kudu, the Beisa Oryx, the Eland and the most sought-after of antelopes, the Greater Kudu.
Picnic lunch during the safari.
The park is crossed by a river that never runs dry in certain places, the Tarangire River. This park has the highest concentration of baobabs in the world, dotting the landscape. Elephants, very numerous, scrape the bark from these mythical trees to drink, as they are true water pumps.
