Gary and Jonathan set up their inbound agency in Arusha in 2010 so they could introduce Tanzania in a more original way, off the beaten track. Today, they live both in France and Tanzania in order to provide travellers with the best possible welcome and service, and also to meet them more easily before the trip.

Les fondateurs d’Off Road Tanzania
Gary and Jonathan are two brothers from Savoy, passionate since childhood about African culture and wildlife. They spent many months in Tanzania with the aim of exploring every corner and sharing their discoveries. One day, they settled in Arusha and embarked on a brand-new adventure: Off Road Tanzania Voyages.
Today, Off Road Tanzania is over 10 years old. New incoming agencies have been set up in Kenya and in Zambia, two other countries that the brothers particularly appreciate.

Our Land Cruiser-type 4×4 vehicles
For your safari in Tanzania, Off Road Tanzania provides you with a 2 to 7-seater 4×4 vehicle, Land Cruiser type. All very comfortable, our vehicles undergo a thorough technical inspection to ensure they are in good working order on your accompanied tours. They are checked every morning by your driver/guide and inspected by our garage at the end of each safari.
Equipped with VHF/BLU radio, your driver remains in contact with the other vehicles on our tours and with our base in Karatu. The pop-up roof allows you to observe wildlife more closely. The seats are individual.
All our 4x4s are equipped with:
- 1 cool box with mineral water (1 litre of water / day / person),
- 1 pair of binoculars,
- 1 set of park maps,
- 1 power socket (220V),
- Books on fauna and flora.

The rooms guarantee real comfort with breathtaking views of the roof of Africa: Kilimanjaro. You can also enjoy views of Mount Meru from the swimming pool.
It is ideally located for your first night in Tanzania. Our team will do everything possible to ensure you have a pleasant start to your stay.
Our semi-luxury mobile camps
Migration in the heart of Ngorongoro and Serengeti.
Off Road Tanzania can provide you with semi-luxury mobile tents, which we can set up in the bush at your request. We can thus privatise natural sites for sleeping. You will have the savannah as far as the eye can see.
Each room is equipped with a toilet and a private shower. For everyone’s comfort, we also set up a dining tent as well as a campfire area.
Ngorongoro Forest Tented Lodge – Karatu
6 semi-luxury tents installed on stilts for greater comfort. The lodge overlooks the valley and the small surrounding villages of Karatu.
Meals are served in a restaurant run by an experienced team. We place particular importance on hygiene and the quality of our dishes.
