- Stages: Kilimanjaro Airport
- Accommodation: Moyoni Airport Lodge
After breakfast, depart for the Tarangire region.
Day of safari in Tarangire National Park considered one of the country's finest wildlife refuges.
Covering an area of 2850 km², it is renowned for its exceptional concentrations of animals between the months of August and January. The park is home to species that are more difficult to spot and often impossible to find in the other parks of Northern Tanzania, such as the Gerenuk, the lesser kudu, the Beisa oryx, the eland and the most sought-after antelope, the greater kudu.
Picnic lunch during the safari.
The park is crossed by a river that never dries up in some places, the Tarangire River. This park has the highest concentration of baobabs in the world, which punctuate the landscape. The many elephants carve into the bark of these mythical trees to quench their thirst, as these trees are real water pumps.
In the late afternoon, depart for your accommodation located on the edge of the park.
Dinner and overnight at Lake Burungue Tented Lodge (or equivalent)
- Stages: Park edge of Tarangire
- Accommodation: Lake Burungue Tented Lodge
Breakfast at the lodge. Departure for Manyara National Park.
From the main entrance, the road first winds through lush jungle where groups of baboons, numbering around a hundred individuals, are busy along the path, where blue monkeys blend into the trees and where the shy bushbuck move cautiously between the shade and light of the undergrowth. The silver-cheeked hornbills are astonishing with their huge casques, as if they were about to go to war within the hour.
Full-day safari and picnic lunch under the umbrella acacias.
This park, in the Rift Valley, has an interesting diversity of wildlife to observe: elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, impalas and many more. The hippo pool attracts a large number of water birds. Manyara National Park sometimes offers a rare spectacle, that of lions perched, sometimes very high, in the umbrella acacias. Will you be lucky enough to spot them up there?
At the end of the day, you will drive to the village of Mto Wa Mbu, if you ask your driver, you can visit the village.
Dinner and overnight stay at Ngorongoro Forest Tented Lodge (or equivalent)
- Stages: Karatu
- Accommodation: Ngorongoro Forest Tented Lodge
Breakfast at the lodge. Departure for the Ngorongoro Crater.
This day will be devoted to discovering this famous crater, considered the 8th Wonder of the World.
The crater is a vast caldera 20 km in internal diameter. It is home to an incredibly rich wildlife population at its centre, perfectly protected by a 600-metre-high rampart.
An exceptional moment: it is one of the only places in Tanzania where you can see the "Big Five": elephant, lion, rhinoceros, leopard and buffalo.
Picnic lunch by the Ngoitokitok pool.
More than 500 species of birds, resident and migratory, are observed in the crater. Lake Magadi, with its brackish waters, is often visited by pink flamingos. Hippos lounge in the freshwater pools while buffalos take mud baths.

The Serengeti is the country’s second largest national park (14,763 km2). Picnic lunch during the safari.
In these vast plains with numerous permanent waterholes, herds of herbivores followed by their predators offer an impressive spectacle. The Serengeti is so large that you may well be the only ones to witness a cheetah hunt, whose favourite prey is Thomson’s gazelle.
Dinner and overnight stay at Serengeti Wildlands Camp from April to November (or equivalent)
Or at Ndutu Wildlands Camp from January to March (or equivalent
After breakfast, another full day of safari to enjoy Serengeti National Park.
The oldest and most popular of Tanzania’s national parks, Serengeti National Park has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1978. Even when the wildebeest migration is over, it remains one of the best places for a safari. The park is home to the highest density of plains wildlife in the world. Herds of buffalo, elephants, giraffes, elands, topi, hartebeest, impalas and gazelles can be observed, not forgetting the big cats (lions, leopards, cheetahs…) and hyenas.
Picnic lunch during the safari.
This abundance of animals has generated a local economy based on ecotourism and Tanzania has established protection policies and specific taxation for tourist activities.
