Propose a responsible travel offer

  • By prioritising local partners: our partners are based in the countries you travel to. We buy local produce to offer you healthy meals. You therefore directly support the local economy.
  • By offering committed lodges: our own lodges are in constant evolution when it comes to sustainable development, with new energy-saving projects being launched every year. We also work with lodges that share our responsible vision to offer you stays that combine comfort and sustainability.
  • By creating smart itineraries: each tour is designed to minimise travel time so you can make the most of every stop. The aim is not to “tick boxes” but to discover African culture and wildlife in an authentic way.
  • By offering trips designed with respect for wildlife and flora: we do not offer any activities involving the exploitation of animals. Animal welfare and the preservation of nature are essential to us.
  • By fighting plastic waste: to reduce our impact on the environment, we no longer distribute single-use bottles during our safaris. Our 4x4s are fitted with a reusable 20-litre container. We will ask you to bring a water bottle.
  • By offering small-group trips: when you choose an organised tour, you travel in a very small group, which encourages authentic encounters far from mass tourism.

Surrounding ourselves with trained and experienced local professionals

Our employees are our greatest strength and our greatest pride!

We make every effort to work with local teams, we train them and we promote from within rather than externally or abroad. We are proud to pay our staff a fair wage for their work. We firmly believe in investing in our people, offering them opportunities for professional fulfilment.

Nevline, the office manager in Arusha, began his career at Off Road Tanzania as a Kilimanjaro translator guide and has worked his way up thanks to his skills.

Several of our former guides are now lodge managers; we are committed to rewarding a job well done, training, developing and building the skills of our team members.

Taking concrete action to help local communities

We invest in local projects such as the upkeep of schools like the one in Kolila, located near the “Moyoni” lodge in Tanzania.
